One Minute Manners: Social Distancing

We’ve all heard about social distancing, but it bears repeating again, we should all stay home as much as possible. We should practice proper hygiene and be respectful of others who are also trying to avoid infection and the spreading of this virus.

Here are a few things to keep in mind while we’re practicing social distancing:

1 - You should stand six feet away from others when you’re talking to them.
2 - It’s important to use your words to remember, communication is essential when we’re when people are unsure or adapting to new norms.
3 - Whatever the circumstance you find yourself in the best thing you can do is to communicate with the other person so that they understand your intention.
4 - You can say things like Sorry, I’m just trying to practice social distancing. or excuse me, I just want to keep us safe and healthy by standing six feet apart.
5 - Remember that proper handwashing involves scrubbing your hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water.
